Aaron Black-Schmidt has always been drawn to experiencing the outdoors, from backpacking with his parents as a child to working the firelines every summer as a wildland firefighter. It was the desire to capture the essence of these special places and the people that live in them that led him to photography. Aaron is a graduate from Brooks Institute with a degree in Visual Journalism. During his time as the photo editor for Canoe&Kayak, SUP and Kayak Fish Magazines he honed his skills for working in waterborne environments. He currently works as the Video Production Specialist for Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever. Aaron focuses his freelance work towards documenting outdoor adventure - specifically watersports, as well as adventure and landscape photography.
